Because for some people, it's a comfort thing.
I'd never personally advise anyone to 'become an Atheist' because not everyone can live 'without devine or spiritual hope'.
What I know of the Free Zone is comparable to stay at home Catholics in my eyes.
But yeah, outside of the almost plausible pseudo psycology[sic] that is Dianetics, I don't get it myself!

Soooo... Why do i get the feeling that there is a scientology-apologist among us? The Anon-war is not just about the money that scientology demands from its victims (nor is it just about the lulz) . It is more about the fact that it is a _cult_ that is brainwashing people while being dicks about it at the same time. Calling Free Zone scientology "comforting" is just scary.

I was going to respond to your comment publically, then realised you just may be trolling (by the way, I was offended by it).

Scientology has a lot in common with you, I don't care for either. It's a cult that I'm glad to have had nothing to deal with. I was brought up in a silly mainstream "religion" and some bizarre views. The the main thing that helped me not consume myself with anbger[sic] for being lied to was support, something that some people need. Your obviously some form of Übermensch, unaafected[sic] by trauma, lucky you. Maybe ex-scientologists/cult followers/reformed racists/abused children can all turn to you for support, seeing as you have so much to offer them?

The sarcasm is not lost on me, nor is the fact that you still seem like an apologist.

Why else would you join an anti-scientology facebook group and start defending Free Zone Scientology? Saying that free scientology is ok just because it doesn't force people to pay for it is missing the point by miles. Where would you send a person who has been abused? The Free Zone? That is like giving alcohol as a medicine to a person with drug problems.

I don't see how being free from influence by a cult makes me an übermensch. I belong to a vast majority of people who think all forms of scientology is LOLworthy. I know lots of people who have had a really hard time who are now ok, and NOT thanks to FZS or any other kind of cult. I feel worried that you should find comfort in scientology. It is preying on traumatized people. YES, traumatized people need support. By other people, not an organisation or a cult. To me, Scientology (free or otherwise) is no different from any other vampire cult such as christianity or islam.
